WORKS ON CANVAS.
My current work on canvas is a singularity informed by my experiences creating all of the work the came before. With a lifetime of rich experience I arrive at this body of work continually pushing what I am able to create in the realm of abstract painting. I draw heavily from notions of of the embodied experience in my studio and aim to leave behind captured moments of seeing and thinking.
These works are rarely completed. I often find myself returning to the canvas to add or subtract a few marks and update the surface. Keeping the work in flux allows me a more empathetic experience with how dynamic seeing and thinking can be.

DETAIL IMAGES
The work I make is full of subtlety and nuance. There is a lot going on in these seemingly pale or barren areas of surface. I hope these detail images give you a stronger sense of the layers and textures that are built into the work.
